Wind north-east, runway zero three, |
I can hear the engines all the way here. |
Like an arrow she passes by |
and it's ringing in my ears. |
And the wet asphalt shakes, |
the rain dusts like a veil, |
until it takes off and floats |
towards the sun. |
|
I'll look after her for a long time, |
see them climb the clouds, |
until the lights gradually |
completely blurred in the rainy grey. |
My eyes already have |
lost that tiny point, |
only sounds monotonous from a distance |
the hum of the engines. |
|
Then everything is quiet, I go, |
rain penetrates my jacket. |
Someone is making coffee |
in the air traffic control barracks. |
Gasoline floats in the puddles, |
shimmering like a rainbow, |
clouds are reflected in it, |
I would have liked to have flown along. |
